A simple font: one byte per character code, a 256-entry encoding from codes to glyph names, and one width per code.
public abstract class PdfSimpleFont : PdfFont
ISO 32000-2 §9.6.1. GetGlyphName(Byte) applies the font's encoding (§9.6.5): the Encoding entry, a predefined
encoding or an encoding dictionary with BaseEncoding and Differences, over the font's built-in encoding.
GetWidth(Byte) applies FirstChar, LastChar, Widths and the descriptor's MissingWidth
(§9.6.2.1, Table 109), and the Standard 14 metrics for a non-embedded Standard 14 font that does not give them (§9.6.2.2).
The 256 names and widths are computed on first use and kept until the font dictionary, its Widths array, its encoding
dictionary, the Differences array or its font descriptor changes; looking one up then allocates nothing. Deviations
found while computing them are recorded once, on the font's object, when first used: in strict mode that call throws.

A Type 1 or TrueType font that is not embedded uses them when its BaseFont is one of the fourteen names, or another name producers use for one of them (such as Arial,Bold for Helvetica-Bold, recorded as an information diagnostic).SubstituteGets the font program the font is drawn with when it has no usable embedded program, found by the engine's font resolvers; null when the font has a usable embedded program (Program), is a Type 3 font, or no resolver has a program for it.GetGlyphName(Byte)Gets the glyph name the font's encoding gives a character code; .notdef when it gives none.GetWidth(Byte)Gets the width of a character code's glyph, in glyph space units: thousandths of text space, except for Type 3 fonts.
