FontCharacterMapOne subtable of a TrueType or OpenType program's "cmap" table: a mapping from character codes to glyph ids.
FontProgramA parsed font program: glyph outlines and metrics by glyph id, and the lookups its format has (glyph names, "cmap" subtables). What an IFontProgramParser returns.
FontProgramContextEverything an IFontProgramParser may need beyond the program's bytes: where the program comes from, the font file stream's length entries, the limits on hostile data, and the diagnostics sink. A parsed program keeps its context and reports what it finds later (a damaged glyph) through it.
FontQueryWhat an IFontResolver is told about a font it is asked to find: the name as written, the name's parts, the font's type, and the facts of its font descriptor, with the style inferred from them.
FontSubstituteThe font program a font that is not embedded is drawn with, found by the engine's font resolvers: what Substitute returns.
GlyphOutlineThe outline of one glyph in glyph space, as the path type content stream paths use: a reusable buffer of PathVerbs and PathPoints that a FontProgram fills and Path views.
PdfCidFontA CIDFont, the descendant of a Type 0 font whose glyphs are selected by CID: a live view over its dictionary.
PdfCidFontType0A CIDFontType0: a CIDFont whose glyphs are CFF glyph descriptions, selected by CID.
PdfCidFontType2A CIDFontType2: a CIDFont whose glyphs are TrueType glyph descriptions, selected through CIDToGIDMap.
PdfFontA font: a live view over a font dictionary.
PdfFontDescriptorThe font-wide metrics and attributes of a simple font or CIDFont: a live view over a font descriptor dictionary.
PdfSimpleFontA simple font: one byte per character code, a 256-entry encoding from codes to glyph names, and one width per code.
PdfTrueTypeFontA TrueType or OpenType font: a live view over its font dictionary.
PdfType0FontA composite (Type 0) font, whose glyphs come from a descendant CIDFont: a live view over its font dictionary.
PdfType1FontA Type 1 font, or an instance of a multiple master font: a live view over its font dictionary.
PdfType3FontA Type 3 font, whose glyphs are content streams: a live view over its font dictionary.
ShapedTextText shaped in a canvas font: the glyphs it shows, in visual order (left to right as drawn), each with the text it came from and its advance. Get one with Shape(String, TextShaping) and show it with ShowText(ShapedText).
TextShapingHow text is shaped into glyphs before it is shown: the OpenType script and language system whose features apply, the run's direction, and which features are on. Immutable; each With* method returns a changed copy. Two instances with the same settings are equal.
Structs (6)
CharacterCodeOne character code read from a string shown in a composite font: its value, its length in bytes, and whether it is valid.
CidGlyphOne glyph of a string shown in a composite font: the code read, the CID it selects, the glyph id and the glyph's metrics.
CidVerticalMetricsA glyph's metrics for vertical writing, in glyph space units (thousandths of text space).
GlyphMetricsThe horizontal metrics a font program gives one glyph, in its glyph space units.
Type3GlyphMetricsWhat a Type 3 glyph description declares with its first operator (d0 or d1): whether it specifies its colour, the width it gives and, for d1, its bounding box, all in glyph space.
Interfaces (2)
IFontProgramParserA font program parser: turns the decoded bytes of an embedded font program into a FontProgram. The font program parser extension point: every engine holds a list of parsers, the managed defaults after any registered with UseFontProgramParser(IFontProgramParser).
IFontResolverThe font resolver extension point: finds a font program for a font that is not embedded, and the named resources fonts need (predefined CMaps, CID-to-Unicode tables). Register one with UseFontResolver(IFontResolver).
Enums (13)
FontMatchKindHow the program a font resolver found relates to the font asked for.
FontProgramFormatThe formats a font program can have in a PDF file, as a font file stream declares them or its bytes show them.
FontProgramSourceWhere a font program comes from: the font descriptor entry that holds it.
