GetCid(CharacterCode) Method

Definition

Namespace Broadside.Fonts
Assembly Broadside.dll

Returns the CID a code selects: its character mapping, else its notdef mapping, else 0.

public int GetCid(CharacterCode code)

Parameters

Returns

Int32
The CID, 0 to 65,535; 0 for an invalid code.

Remarks

ISO 32000-2 §9.7.6.2 and §9.7.6.3. This is the CMap's part only: when the CIDFont has no glyph for the CID, the font consults the notdef mappings again (TryGetNotdefCid(CharacterCode, out Int32)) and then uses CID 0.
