BitmapPixels the software rasterizer draws into: premultiplied BGRA, 8 bits per channel, rows top to bottom, in a buffer the caller provides or one rented from a pool and returned on Dispose().
DisplayImageAn image interned in a display list: its samples decoded once, with the colour space and Decode mapping that give them meaning, shared by every paint of the same image XObject in the list. Never converted: a backend converts the samples to its device model.
DisplayImageMaskAn image mask interned in a display list: one bit per sample saying where something is painted, at the mask's own resolution. It is either a stencil mask, painted with the current fill colour (FillImageMask(DisplayImageMask, in DisplayColor)), or the explicit mask of an image (Mask), which shows the image where it paints.
HitTestIndexWhat lies where on a page: the boxes of its shown character codes with their Unicode text in content order, the areas its images and paths paint, and its link regions, queried by point and by rectangle in page space, so a viewer maps a click or a drag to content (text selection, link activation). Built from a display list with CreateHitTestIndex(), or with a page's links by CreateHitTestIndex().
HitTestLinkA link annotation as a HitTestIndex holds it: the annotation, what activating it does, and its region.
RenderOptionsHow a page maps to pixels when it is rendered: the scale (or resolution) and an extra rotation. The page's own crop box, Rotate and UserUnit always apply.
SoftwareRasterizerAnnotations in the software rasterizer: NoZoom and NoRotate placement, and the appearance group's opacity and blend mode.
Structs (16)
DisplayAnnotationAn annotation as a display list draws it: where it sits on the page, whether it keeps its size and orientation on screen, and how its appearance is composited with what is below it. A backend receives it in BeginAnnotation(in DisplayAnnotation); the appearance's paints follow, until EndAnnotation().
DisplayColorA colour in a display list: the colour space it was specified in, its components, and what its conversion depends on. Never converted: a backend converts it to its own device model. Valid only during the backend call that hands it over.
DisplayGlyphOne glyph of a GlyphRun: the glyph id it selects in the run's font program, where it is shown and how much it is stretched horizontally.
DisplayGroupA transparency group in a display list: its attributes, the alpha and blend mode its result composites onto its backdrop with, the area it can paint, and its content, which Replay(IRenderingBackend) hands to a backend. Valid only during the DrawGroup(in DisplayGroup) call that hands it over.
DisplayShadingA shading paint in a display list: the resolved shading, the space its coordinates are in, whether its Background is painted, and what its colours' conversion depends on. Never converted: a backend evaluates and converts the colours itself. Valid only during the backend call that hands it over.
DisplaySoftMaskA soft mask in a display list: the per-point shape or opacity the paints that follow (or a group's result) are composited with, derived from a transparency group. Valid only during the call that hands it over; IsNone when there is no mask.
DisplayTilingPatternA tiling-pattern paint in a display list: the pattern, the space it is laid out in, and its cell, already built into a display list of its own. A backend replicates the cell over the painted area at multiples of XStep and YStep. Valid only during the backend call that hands it over (the Cell list itself is immutable and may be kept, like any display list).
GlyphRunA run of glyphs that share a font program, a text rendering mode and the colours and line parameters they are painted with, as a display list hands it to DrawGlyphs(in GlyphRun). Valid only during that call.
HitTestGlyphOne character code shown on a page as a HitTestIndex holds it: its box in page space, the Unicode text it stands for, the code and the rendering mode it was shown in.
HitTestItemOne match of a HitTestIndex query: its kind and its index among the index's items of that kind.
HitTestMatchesThe matches of a HitTestIndex query, enumerated without allocating: by kind (glyphs, images, paths, links) and, within a kind, in content order. Use it in a foreach; it is its own enumerator, so enumerate it once.
StrokeStyleThe line parameters a stroke in a display list is drawn with, as the graphics state held them at the stroking operator: width, caps, joins, miter limit, dash pattern and stroke adjustment, all in user space units. Valid only during the backend call that hands it over.
Interfaces (1)
IRenderingBackendThe backend contract: what a backend implements to draw a DisplayList on one technology (the software rasterizer, SkiaSharp, CoreGraphics, Direct2D, Android Canvas). Replay(IRenderingBackend) calls these members in the list's order.
Enums (5)
AntiAliasingThe kinds of painting a render anti-aliases; a kind left out is painted with whole pixels only.
DisplayIntentWhat a page is rendered for, which decides which annotations are drawn and whether they keep their size and orientation on screen.
DisplayLayersThe layers a page's display list can hold, so that a viewer can redraw the annotation and form-field overlays without rebuilding or re-rasterizing the page content. A list holding several layers paints them in this order.
HitTestKindsWhat a HitTestIndex holds: glyphs, images, paths and links; combined to say which kinds a query looks at.
